Who I am
My name is Andreas Hähnel, and I'm an outdoor fan from southern Germany. I love hiking and cycling in the mountains and in beautiful landscapes all over the world.
That's my way. When I'm not in the mountains, I work as an IT consultant.
IT Consultant
I work full-time as an IT consultant, focusing on networks, IT security, and Microsoft server and cloud products. I have more than 20 years of professional experience in medium-sized to large companies. On the side, I work on various projects, including Linux services and Apple and smart home solutions.
I have expertise in network planning and implementation (Aruba, Lancom, Ubiquiti UniFi), HPE hardware, classic backup solutions (Veeam), security appliance configuration (Sophos XGS), infrastructure virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), database systems (Oracle, Microsoft), groupware (Exchange), security solutions (Sophos, Symantec) and cloud solutions (Office 365, Azure).
I offer professional advice and support, and I focus on finding the solution that fits each use case. I also have experience in programming, scripting and automation with PowerShell, Python and more, as well as in artificial intelligence and its integration into business processes.
I am an accredited network specialist with several Sophos, Ubiquiti and Lancom certifications.

I spend a lot of time in nature, trying to capture the best light for the perfect photo. Every picture has its own beauty, because I always look for the perfect angle. Biography
I have worked full-time as an IT specialist for more than 20 years at an IT services company that I have been building up with a business partner since 2004. Today, together with a team of fifteen, I offer small and medium-sized businesses high-quality service and all-round support for their system and network environments, with practical, hands-on solutions. My responsibilities there include technical and administrative management as well as project support and implementation.
